MURDER BY DESIGN

London. April 1968. The Strand Hotel is hosting a fashion show for an elite collection of clientele, hailing from New York, Paris and Rome.

 

The glamourous designer of the Delane Fashion House, Margot Delane is about to launch the latest season's designs amidst a haze of scandalous events. And then in the dressing room, amongst the glitter of the sequins, pearls and diamante, nestled within the folds of taffeta, chiffon and lace, dressed in kitten heels and one silk stocking, there lies a pretty face, lifeless.

 

So, Detective Insp Grimpole is called into the case, as he happens to be taking a breather in the tea lounge of the Hotel. Much to his annoyance, as he knows nothing about fashion, the film industry or indeed the Opera.  And he was really looking forward to that cup of tea.
